Itinerary

We will pick clients up from their starting point in arusha (or moshi) in the morning

We will pick clients up from their starting point in arusha (or moshi) in the morning. The trip will start with a 2.5-3 hour drive to marangu gate. Here your guides will deal with some paperwork and then begin your hike. We will hike through the forest, which is home to blue monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Most of the hike will be a gradual incline today and it will take us about 5 hours to reach the first camp, mandara huts (8888 ft/2709 m). After arriving at mandara hut, you will enjoy a picnic lunch from a lunch box we will provide. If time permits, you may be able to hike to nearby maundi crater, where you may be able to get a better chance at a good view of kilimanjaro`s peak. After lunch, you will return to marangu gate to meet the vehicle and return to your destination in arusha (or moshi).
