Travel to kibale national park – guided nature walk in bigodi wetland sanctuary
The adventure begins when you embark on a drive to southern uganda "" the location of kibale national park. When you stop in fort portal town for lunch, you will use the opportunity to visit to the ""amabere ga nyina mwiru"" caves, the karambi royal tombs and omukama""s palace. When you arrive at the park, you will take out some time to unwind and then embark on a guided nature walk in bigodi wetland sanctuary.
kanyanchu primate walk – chimp trekking – birding excursion
The day""s main adventure will be the kanyanchu primate walk. You will embark on a guided quest for the 13 primate species found in the park. The highlight of the excursion however will be a chimpanzee trekking excursion. You will encounter one of the habituated chimp families and then go ahead to see the various monkey species. In the afternoon, you will go for a birding excursion along the boardwalk trail and the various viewing platforms in bigodi wetland sanctuary. The area has over 138 bird species
community visit – return to kampala – end of safari
You will go for a village walk in the morning and then embark on your journey back to kampala in the early afternoon. You will enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside, the steep terraces, rugged hills and massive tea plantations.
