Itinerary
Day: 1
Arusha to serengeti national park
We will depart from arusha in the morning and travel to serengeti national park. We will take the scenic route to the serengeti which allows us to travel near the ngorongoro crater. There is a possibility of spotting game. The endless golden savannah with splotches of colour created by the vegetation and wildlife make it easy to understand why the serengeti is one of the seven natural wonders of africa. We will stop so that you can enjoy your picnic lunch on a kopje (a small hill in a generally flat area). We will proceed further into the serengeti for a leisurely game drive. You will spend the night at the serengeti camp, comprehensive camping facilities are available.
Day: 2
Serengeti national park
The day will begin in the center of the majestic serengeti. After a nourishing breakfast, we will continue our journey into the plains. Since we have a full day of game driving, you will likely view hundreds of the diverse animals that find their home within the serengetis endless plains. This day will likely offer sightings of the african mammals that make the park famous- lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and water buffalo, all within a few feet of the jeep. Visitors will also have the chance to view some of the parks lesser known, but equally majestic animals including, elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffe, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos and antelope. Depending on the time of year, visitors will also have the chance to view thousands of zebra and wildebeest on their great migration. The hundreds of bird species, both endemic and migrating from the eurasion region, are a special bonus for bird-watchers. Guests will enjoy fresh and delicious dinner at our campsite in seronera.
Day: 3
Serengeti national park to ngorongoro creater.
Today is our last game drive in serengeti before we continue to ngorongoro crater. We will overnight at simba camp, which is located at the rim of the crater, ideal for watching the gorgeous sunset expand over the savannah within the caldera. After watching the sunset, guests can look forward to a delectable dinner made fresh by the papagei tours cooker.
Day: 4
Ngorongoro crater to arusha
We will depart for the ngorongoro crater early in the morning as it is a wonderful time to spot game. We will go on a game drive with a picnic lunch inside the crater. Majority of the animals tend to reside within the crater due to its elevated structure. There is a high possibility of spotting every member of the big 5. The group comprises some of the strongest animals in africa the ferocious lion, the giant elephant, the swift leopard, the tough rhino and the charging buffalo. The crater was formed millions of years ago when a large volcano erupted. You can expect to encounter zebra, hippo, wildebeest and cackling hyenas. There are graceful flamingos along the soda lake and vultures are constantly circling the sky in search of discarded carcases. Storks and geese are popular water birds in the crater. Our game drive will conclude shortly after lunch. Our driver will transport you to arusha but transportation to the airport or fly to zanzibar can be arranged on request.
