Itinerary
Day: 1
Arusha - tarangire national park
You will be picked up by our driver/guide from your hotel in arusha and driven to the tarangire national park for a full-day game drive. The park, located slightly off the main safari route, is a lovely park most famous for its elephant migration, birding, and quiet, authentic safari atmosphere. The majority of travelers to the region either skip tarangire altogether or venture into the park for a matter of hours leaving parts virtually untouched. The vast number of elephant, baobab tree, and tree-climbing lion are a must see attraction. Visitors to the park can expect to see any number of residential zebra and wildebeest in addition to waterbuck, giraffe, and baboon. Later in the evening you will check-in to the endoro lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day: 2
Central serengeti national park
After breakfast you will check-out and travel to seronera, the central part of serengeti national park; tanzania`s oldest and most famous national park. Known as a world heritage site and recently proclaimed as the "7th wonder of the world, the serengeti is famous for its annual wildebeest migration. This amazing annual event includes some six million hooves pounding across the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 thomson`s gazelle join the wildebeests trek for fresh grazing. Even when the migration is quiet, the serengeti offers arguably the most exciting game drives in africa including vast herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and grants gazelle. After an exciting game drive through the park, you will check-in at the acacia central camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day: 3
Serengeti national park
After breakfast you will embark on a full-day game drive witnessing the annual migration or if in the off season, exploring the park. Consider the sight of over a million wildebeest, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life. This frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests, mating and amazing survival of the fittest as the animals plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north. This event results in replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the pilgrimage begins again. Later in the evening you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day: 4
Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast you will drive to the ngorongoro crater for a once in a lifetime safari tour. The jewel in ngorongoros crown, this thick volcanic crater is the most significant unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. Upon descending to the crater floor, you will visit lake magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the craters leading features. A large number of flamingo, hippo and other water birds can be seen here. You will enjoy lunch near the lake and then embark on an afternoon game drive inside the crater before ascending back to the crater rim and return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day: 5
