Itinerary
Day: 1
Arrival in entebbe
On arrival at entebbe international airport in uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you may choose to do a city tour in entebbe or visit the botanical gardens.
Day: 2
drive to kisoro
Today you will drive to south western uganda in kisoro district. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of the beautiful landscape. Your accommodation is located in kisoro town. Here you can also catch a glimpse of the 3 volcanoes from the virunga mountain ranges.
Day: 3
gorilla trekking in bwindi national park
This morning you will get up very early and drive to bwindi for gorilla trekking. Trekking the mountain gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the gorillas.
Day: 4
drive to musanze, rwanda
After breakfast you will drive to rwanda fondly known as the "land of a thousand hills." enjoy the stunning landscapes along the way. You will spend the night in musanze where you may have an optional market visit or have an optional village walk to a traditional healer
Day: 5
gorilla trekking and drive to kigali
Today you will get up early and drive to volcanoes national park in musanze for briefing, after that set off to the forest for gorilla trekking. A thrilling trek through the refined foothills of the virungas led by an experienced ranger guide provides inspiring views in all directions. The rain forest is alive with calls of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey, and besieged with fresh spoor of the mountains` elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Gorilla trekking is quite strenuous but a worthwhile on encounter of these gentle giants. Spend time watching gorillas, watch the adults feeding their young ones, brushing and resting as the youngsters play from vines in a pleasurably playful display. After the trek, you will depart for the airport through kigali and take your flight back home
