Drive from kampala to bwindi
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in kampala to drive and transfer you to bwindi. On the way to the park you will visit the equator and also stop in mbarara for lunch. You will then drive to proceed to bwindi to arrive in the evening hours. The drive from kampala to bwindi is usually 9 to 10 hours depending on the time spend at the equator or in mbarara for lunch. On arrival you will be welcomed at the hotel and you will be allocated a room where you will spend the night. The guide will brief you about the next day this evening before he lets you have dinner and rest as you prepare for the trek the next day
gorilla safari - trek
Rise up to the birds of bwindi impenetrable forest to prepare and go trek the gorillas. After having breakfast, with your packed lunch proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be briefing by the park rangers about what to expect during the trek ad also about the history of the park. After briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to track and in groups of 8 people plus 3 park rangers you will start the search for the gorillas. The trekking time before meeting the gorillas ranges between 2 to 8 hours. The actual hike in search for gorillas does not require experience and if you can manage walking and require a lift in the african helicopter, it is always good to inform the guide in advance. Once you meet the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour taking pictures and then return to the starting point

At 6 am you will have an early breakfast, in order to start the 9 hour journey early and arrive kampala before sunset.
