Itinerary
Day: 1
Nairobi - maasai mara
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8 a.M. And drive west for maasai mara national reserve with lunch enroute, arriving in time for an evening game drive. Maasai mara national reserve is kenya`s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although july, august, and september are the months when the mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous maasai tribesmen live very close to the game reserve. Have dinner and overnight at the camp (with hot showers and flush toilets)
Day: 2
maasai mara full day
After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for a game in kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Have dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day: 3
maasai mara - lake nakuru
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the mara region for nakuru with lunch en route and scenic views of mount longmont and lake naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening. Have dinner and overnight at the budget hotel.
Day: 4
lake nakuru - nairobi
After breakfast you will depart for a game drive in lake nakuru national park which known as the home of the white and black rhinos and flamingos. After, you will drive to nairobi with lunch en route arriving in the evening drop at your hotel.(we can assist you to book
Day: 5
nairobi - arusha
Depart from nairobi with a shuttle to arusha. You will arrive in namanga border for immigration procedures and then proceed to arusha to arrive in the afternoon. Check in to the hotel booked for bed and breakfast. You will rest and relax for the rest of the day as you prepare for the next days safari. Dinner on your own.
Day: 6
arusha - lake manyara
After breakfast, depart to lake manyara with lunch en route. You will proceed to lake manyara for a game drive at lake manyara national park, famous for its tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Have dinner and overnight at fixed tents with bed and bedding.
Day: 7
lake manyara - ngorongoro
After breakfast, you will descend 2000 feet (670 meters) into the crater floor with your picnic lunches. The entire day is spent in the park with a lunch break at ngoitoktok springs picnic site. The main crater is 165 kilometers and contains populations of various species including black-maned lions, rhinos, buffalo, elephants, and other grazing animals. Have dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day: 8
ngorongoro - serengeti
After breakfast, you leave ngorongoro for olduvai gorge. Lunch is at gorge museum. After lunch, you will visit various sites of the gorge to see where the remains of prehistoric man were discovered by the famous archaeologist dr. Lsb leakey. You will proceed to serengeti plains with afternoon game drives. Have dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day: 9
serengeti - arusha
After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in serengeti national park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. After, depart to arusha with your lunch enroute arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at the hotel in arusha booked for bed and breakfast. Dinner on your own.
Day: 10
arusha - nairobi
After breakfast, in the early morning, drop to the bus connect for a shuttle bus to nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for a drop-off at jomo kenyatta international airport (nbo) to connect with your flight back home or at the hotel that you have booked. If you havent booked a hotel, big time safaris can assist you to book one.
