Itinerary
Day: 1
Arrive at entebbe and transfer to bwindi imenetrable national park
Our driver will pick you from the guesthouse or airport and then leave for the south west of uganda. The first part takes us through central uganda. You will have a stop over in mbarara at the famous igongo culture center for some refreshments and from here we will continue the journey through rukugiri district passing villages, cultivated farms, hills before you reach in buhoma bwindi. Check in at lodge, dinner and overnight at gorilla mist camp
Day: 2
gorilla trekking and batwa experience
After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing on the dos and don""ts during this activity and thereafter you will proceed for gorilla trekking. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas.
If time and energy allow, you may take a community tour to the batwa community after the gorilla tracking. Return to your accommodation, enjoy your evening, dinner and overnight.
Our area to trek the gorillas will be buhoma because buhoma region is the most popular region for trekkers. There are four groups of gorillas near buhoma that are habituated to humans. The group names are mubare, habinyanja, rushegura, and the nkuringo group
Day: 3
exit bwindi and transfer back to entebbe
After breakfast, you will start your journey back to entebbe. You will make a stopover a the equator and have time to take photos and experience being in the worlds northerner and southern hemisphere at the same time. Buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch. You will then drive to entebbe airport to for your journey back home till we meet again and thank you for choosing hail tours uganda
