Arrival to uganda and local flight to kihihi then bwindi
You arrive in uganda at entebbe international airport and transfer to your regional airline (aerolink) in preparation for flight to kihihi airstrip. Please note that the local flight has limited flights and your international flight arrival timing needs to align with the local flight by aerolink. From entebbe airport you fly to south western uganda by aerolink, landing at kihihi airstrip. You will be picked by our representative from the airstrip and driven to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at silverback lodge. Meal plan is full board
gorilla tracking in bwindi impenetrable forest park
Very early in the morning, you will transfer to bwindi impenetrable forest national park for gorilla tracking. The activity starts early in the morning with briefing from the wildlife ranger guides and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas. Bwindi in uganda has more than half the world remaining mountain gorilla population but also has more than 100 species of mammals, and 360 species of birds among others. You have 1 hour for observing the primates and their behaviors, while taking photographs. You will take packed lunch and water with you in the bag and for this you might need the support of available porters. After tracking, you will return to the lodge to rest and for dinner and overnight at silverback lodge.
transfer to kihihi airstrip-local flight-return flight
In the morning, you will check out of your lodge for a transfer to kihihi airstrip to catch your local flight to entebbe airport before catching your international return flight.
