Itinerary
Day: 1
Arrival and transfer to bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Today, you will be welcomed at the airport by one of our company representative who will then transfer you to your lodge in bwindi impenetrable forest in uganda. Depending on your arrival time, if its early you will have a city tour around by visiting the genocide museum and the caplaki crafts center, then continue to bwindi. If its late, you would have to have a night in kigali then (whose cost is not included in the quote.) you will have two nights in bwindi impenetrable forest. Home to over half of the worlds mountain gorilla population. Interacting with these gentle giants is one of the most moving experiences that africa has to offer and should not be missed! the ancient rainforest of bwindi spans 321 sq km and boasts 90 mammal species, a range of primates, as well as 23 albertine rift endemic bird species, including the african green broadbill, the bar tailed trogon and many others. Relax in the evening and get ready for the following days gorilla tracking. Overnight at rushaga gorilla haven lodge or similar. (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Day: 2
gorilla trekking in bwindi forest and optional activities
This morning you set off for gorilla trekking. Hiking through the thick, verdant, rainforest to eventually come across the gorillas in their natural habitat, is an amazing and unforgettable experience. Actual trek times can vary; these are wild animals after all. If time permits there are a diverse range of optional activities which are unique to bwindi which you can participate in during the afternoon. These include the community walk, waterfall hike, curio shopping to mention but a few overnight at rushaga gorilla haven lodge or similar. (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Day: 3
transfer to kigali
Today, depending on the time for your flight, you can venture into some optional activities either in bwindi or in kigali, then later transfer to the airport for your flight home.
